Buckets

Each day we are given buckets. Buckets of time, energy, resource and influence.

As leaders, it is important to be able to know which bucket you pull from, which bucket you save for later and most importantly which bucket you pass on emptying.

• TIME will determine its own result. It is the one bucket you can not control, but you still have to manage.
• You have to manage energy and make sure that the right amount of it is being spread appropriately over projects, passions, people, and purpose.
• Resource, both material, fiscal, and employees must be developed, managed, and used to create momentum. Resources are your tools. How you use your tools counts.
• Influence is the ability to leverage what you and your team has in front of you to multiply it into extra energy, resource, and time.

Each day I want to manage my buckets and allow them to maintain balance and passion. What buckets are we missing?
