How To Be Successful

Do you want to be successful? Sure. Everyone does…right?

I do not have all the answers on how to make you successful, but I do have a few questions that might help get you on the right path.

Andy Stanley writes in his new book the that DIRECTION DETERMINES DESTINATION. Where you are directed is where you will end up. It does not matter how good your heart is, how much you pray, how great your intentions are, DIRECTION DETERMINES DESTINATION.

So, how will you answer these questions?

  1. Would you support somebody that is doing what you do?
  2. If you walked into your church or organization, would you be impressed by what is taking place? Would you want to join ministries? Would the culture that is being created be something you would want to associate with? Are you made to feel welcomed? Does this place fit your DNA? Is the DNA of the organization something you want in your life?

  3. Would you invest in them?
  4. If you walked into your church or organization, would you buy into what you are selling? Would you see the level of excellence required to make you pull out your wallet and invest? Would you donate your time, resources, and attachment? Would you be willing to make this organization part of your family and culture?

  5. What are you doing to make your success inevitable?
  6. What type of team are you building? Are you being strategic in what you do, and also intentional? Are you creating margin? Are you risking big enough to win? Are you hedging enough to continue if you fail? Who are you trusting? Who are you pouring into? Who is pouring into you?

Answer honestly. Share with your team. What other questions should we be asking?

a question I have to ask myself, does it matter if my name is on the success?

Meaning, do i have to have the credit or can it go to someone else as long as the ministry continues to grow and go.

Kyle, you are so right. I know I love the affirmation of being associated with the success. The reality is, we should be differing the accolades and instead promoting others on our teams. Not easily done my friend.
