It Starts Tonight
Every generation has that person that sets the tone for their culture. In Christian music nobody has set the tone like TobyMac. Dude has Grammy awards, platinum records, 5 kids, and still brings it to the job EVERY DAY. From dcTalk to being a solo emcee, Toby has a work ethic that is unbelievable. Even after “ahem” years of doing this thing he still works like a new artist trying to make his big break.
Tonight is a great album. You need to go buy it…NOW. I am not getting paid to say this stuff, I am not on the TobyMac team, I just believe in this guy. I am honored to call him a friend, and I promise you that if you sleep on this record, you will wish you had been on it early. He owns iTunes this week, so it wont be hard to scoop your copy. He is as good of a dude as he is an icon…get with it.
Also, the colabo continues with Israel returning the favor and joining Toby on a song on the new album. It is nice.

It’s not really that good of an album. It’s got lyrics that a 2 year old could have written.
It’s an album inspired by a Dr. Seuss book.
Musically it’s nothing new- it’s not groundbreaking. it’s not even…what’s the word….good music.
there alot of people who do what He does under the guise of Christianity and do it a whole lot better.
He needs to step it up.
I can always spot DJ Dust stuff because it just has that certain look about it, love it.
He always does a great job with his stuff.
A thing about Toby is that he could likely just coast at this point in his performance career …I’ve always been impressed that he throws ALL of himself into his shows even to this date!
