Life Is Content

Creatives create.

When we keep our antennas up, our life becomes our content.

Where we go, what we see, sounds we hear, experiences we have, interaction with creation and created things all become the canvas for finding new ideas. Our lives themselves become content creators for our creative machines.

Make sure you are exposing yourself to new things, different things, unique experiences that will challenge you.

Practically:

  • Drive a different route
  • Listen to a new channel
  • Search for new people on twitter who are not in your circle
  • Read a new blog, magazine or book that is totally different from what you normally ingest
  • Try stumbleupon.com
  • Visit YouTube or Vimeo
  • Have a conversation with a stranger
  • Reach out to someone in your world (another pastor, writer, musician) and invite them to coffee just to ask them questions
  • Change your furniture around
  • Watch TV
  • Don’t watch TV
  • Walk instead of ride
  • Explore nature
  • Ask questions of people you trust. Questions create ideas

How do you keep your antenna up?

My wife & I ride to work together every day. She works across the street. She is one to push me. She insists that we take a different route to help inspire & push me.

I really appreciate your thoughts daily. You are stretching me.
