What are you in the business of doing?

2 worlds collided for me today. I saw an interview with Michael Hyatt (@michaelHyatt) where he stated: “We are in the business of inspiration.” I agree.

Later I was reading Romans 4: “Abraham entered into what God was doing for him, and that was the turning point. He trusted God to set him right instead of trying to be right on his own. If you’re a hard worker and do a good job, you deserve pay; we don’t call your wages a gift. But if you see that the job is too big of you, that it’s something only God can do, and you trust him to do it – you could never do it for yourself no matter how hard and long you worked – well, thats trusting-him-to-do-it is what gets you set right with God, by God. Sheer gift.”

It is time to start trying to do some things we could never accomplish on our own. Mark Batterson describes it as “Chasing Lions“. We need to undertake some adventures that are so big that the only way they will ever succeed is by God setting them right. Some God sized things, like getting into the business of inspiration. The business of hope. There is a market for people needing these gifts. How can you attach hope and inspiration to what you do everyday? Are you doing what your supposed to do anyway? I don’t know the answer, but just wanted to ask the question.
