What is your Invictus?

INVICTUS:

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
– William Ernest Henley

Have you ever wanted to quit? Ever lost your inspiration? Ever felt that your desires and destiny just are not in rhythm? Watching INVICTUS today was a lesson in humanity, in leadership, in inspiration. Challenges can be massive at times. But when your will, your passion, your desire fuels your ambition, anything is possible. Beyond that, as Christians, we have another factor that has to be accounted for, the power of faith, God, and purpose. Sometimes the greatest inspiration for ones self can be inspiring someone else.

What is the thing that inspires you? What provides your fuel? What makes you GO?

Regardless of how dark life seems, how hard the road has become, how impossible life seems, do not lose your will. Do not let your head fall down. Do not quit. Keep your soul alive, keep fighting, you have to finish, we need you to finish.

INVICTUS.

    Good Thoughts.

I am reminded of Winston Churchill saying, Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never–in nothing, great or small, large or petty–never give in, except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.

I find Christ making a difference in people’s lives to be that thing that makes me Go and fuels me and inspires me to go forward even in those dark days.
