So we have all been there before right. You come up with your best idea. You are so hyped about this idea and you feel like this is the one you have been waiting for forever. You show up in a meeting, you share the idea and no one cares. Or worse, they shoot it down and destroy you in the process.
Then there is the time; you take a few chances and you kind of hedge a little. You don’t think that the “thing” you are working on is actually going to be amazing, but it is good. WHAM! It blows up and everyone loves it…and you are left wondering how in the world did this just happen?
Momentum is a funny thing. It makes us look a LOT better than we are when we have it and it makes us not look as good as we are when we are without it.
So don’t believe the hype.
Good or bad. Don’t believe it. Hype is hype for a reason. You are far better than the negative or worse thing that you have done and you are can always improve, even on your absolute best stuff.
Let the hype be they hype. Keep the words, as powerful as they can be for the positive and the negative, on the outside. Pay it all no attention. Show up. Give your best today. Everyday. Do the next right and best thing. Don’t get caught in the drama and don’t listen to the voices. You control how you approach what you do so BRING IT!
Hype is hot air. Ignore it!
What a great post! I feel that when things are all hyped up, it is a time to prove yourself strong and just forge ahead. Do what your heart is telling you and you will always come out ahead.
